iDEN (Integrated Digital Enhanced Network) is a wireless technology from Motorola, that was adopted by major operators around the globe. The iDEN operators have differentiated themselves by providing a unique API as an extension to J2ME. UpOnTek has built a service to address the community of iDEN application developers, who would like to easily convert their apps to Android. UpOnTek provides support for the main iDEN extensions used by developers.
iDEN operators have embraced Android. One of the iDEN operators has included Android apps which were converted using DroidBridge service as preinstalled applications.
